Private Party Transfers (PPTs)
PPT’s are private firearms sales that take place at a federally licensed firearms dealer. The buyer and seller meet at your local FFL who takes the firearm into their possession, before obtaining information from both the buyer and seller for the CA DROS. Following the 10 day waiting period, the buyer must return to the FFL to take possession of the firearm, the seller, however, is not required to return.
